~Seaside, FL~
Tanner and I have eaten at Bud and Alley's and The Red Bar, but we've never stayed in Seaside. This is the first time we had the privilege to stay in Seaside just one street over from this "quaint beach town." Just like you see in the pictures....it's an amazing place to stroll the kids, eat, shop, and enjoy the beautiful weather. It's just like you see in the movie, The Truman Show with Jim Carrey.
We MISS you Bentley!!!
Yummy... cupcakes!!
This Chatham House was 4 houses down from where we stayed. There were walking tours and people always outside taking photographs. Of course, I had to do the same and google the architect from New Orleans.
Goldfish....
~The Summer House~
Getting ready for one of the many strolls to the town square!
Elizabeth and Lola Campbell and John Tanner.
Strolling through the little town....
and hanging on the lawn.
There were always people on the lawn playing, reading, or listening to the live music. Just the type of thing you want to do on a beautiful warm Saturday or Sunday in February!!
We ate shrimp and oysters at the Shrimp Shack and po-boys and fried pickles at the World Famous "Pickles." Then.... we went to the beach for a stroll.
Sweet Campbell family....thanks for letting us stay with you!!
Elizabeth (6 months) John Tanner (7 months)
We ran into our friends that use to live in Birmingham....
the Downey family!!
We got to play with Bruce....
and Elizabeth (11months). What a TREAT!!
This was a wonderful and relaxing weekend away from our everyday routines in Birmingham. The weather was perfect.... Tanner got to go fishing, I got to take a yoga class and walk each morning with John Tanner, we got to eat good food.....
Most of all....we got to play and get to know new friends.
We can't wait to see you again Campbell and Downey family!!
